Goals and Results
In 2010, E4S will celebrate our 10th year of growing a regional sustainable economy. We will also celebrate our 100th E4S Third Tuesday Network Event in 2010. Each year E4S has created programs and services to meet the demands of those who want to put sustainability to work. Our top goal is to continue to listen to your needs and global best practices to provide you with what you need to succeed.
Impact Goals
- Engage, inspire, and prepare 20% more leaders each year to put sustainability to work to benefit their business and the region
- Catalyze and celebrate more sustainability implementation projects and their cumulative impact on people, planet and profit
- Inspire commitment and innovation by encouraging leaders to set bold visionary goals for their businesses and the region
2010 Program Goals
- 50 Companies declare Zero Waste BHAG on ZeroWasteNEO.org (cumulative from 2009) - 32 YTD
- 70 Companies graduate from E4S SI Group Program (cumulative since 2006) - 51 YTD
- 25 Sustainability Implementation Projects that were catalyzed or supported by E4S will be published in online, paper or radio media
- 300 Members - 237 YTD
- 75 Start-up Members - 43 YTD
- 2,500 unique participants @ all events in 2010 - 2,036 YTD
- 10,000 participants in Network in 10 years - 9,904 YTD
- 3 existing action networks (LocalFoodCleveland, ZeroWasteNEO, BiomimicryNEO) grow 35% in unique participants @ events and online and average monthly attendance
2010 Organizational Goals
- People: Engage the E4S Network in dialogue to discover how business can be an agent of social benefit
- Planet: Meet zero waste in E4S office goal in 2010
- Profit: Increase E4S earned income to 60% of budget; Attract funding to launch 1-2 new Networks
- Programs:
- Advance the E4S Sustainable Business Strategies (E4S SI Groups) business model
- Research and report the benefits gained by the first 50 E4S SI Group graduates
- Develop a marketing plan and new branding
- Develop new products and services to serve the growing market demand for first steps, next steps and bold goals.
- Design and launch new web site and database
- Continue the development and implementation of the E4S Network of Action Networks model that engages more leaders in more projects for more benefits
- Support the success of Sustainable Cleveland 2019
