Solar, Wind, Hydro, Bio and beyond!

Next Generation Energy considers both supply side and demand side technologies to meet our low cost end use energy needs.

  • Northeast Ohio was recognized as the first region with a sustainable energy portfolio for buildings, manufacturing and transportation. See more of the E4S Vision.
  • Non-profit, government and academic resources are listed here. Find companies to help your business implement a renewable energy project on the Energy pages of the E4S Sustainable B2B Directory.
Local Organizations:

Green Energy Ohio is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting environmentally and economically sustainable energy policies and practices in Ohio.

The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is a national organization dedicated to advancing the use of solar energy for the benefit of U.S. citizens and the global environment. Cleveland will host the 2007 ASES conference July 8-12.

Since 1974 the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) has advocated the development of wind energy as a reliable, environmentally superior energy alternative in the United States and around the world.

The Apollo Alliance provides a message of optimism and hope, framed around rejuvenating our nation’s economy by creating the next generation of American industrial jobs and treating clean energy as an economic and security mandate to rebuild America.

The Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association seeks to increase the mainstream use of renewable energy technologies and sustainable energy practices.

Journals & Publications:

The International Journal of Sustainable Energy publishes experimental theoretical and applied results in both the science and engineering of solar energy, (e.g. photovoltaic power, radiation data and systems employing optical concentration). The journal is unique in that it provides up-to-date information from Europe, North America, Japan and the developing nations. Papers on development achievements and original research are published, as well as review articles and new items and technical notes.

Conferences:

SOLAR 2008, organized by the American Solar Energy Society, is the largest and most inclusive solar and renewable energy conference in the United States.
