Mission

The participants in the E4S Network are not satisfied with just changing the way that they do business, they want whole markets to shift. They want to work together to build a sustainable economy in Northeast Ohio. That is the mission of E4S.

What is a sustainable economy? Paul Hawken, co-author of the groundbreaking book Natural Capitalism, captured it best in another of his books The Ecology of Commerce.

“We have the capacity and the ability to create a remarkably different economy, one that can restore ecosystems and protect the environment while bringing forth innovation, prosperity, meaningful work and true security.”
