E4S Members are having fun discovering new business opportunities; improving the productivity of their buildings, processes, and materials; discovering new markets; designing new products/services; energizing their employees; and becoming more prosperous. Entrepreneurs, individual and organizational change agents from business, government, higher education, nonprofits, organizations and businesses who are committed to sustainable business practices characterize the growing roster of E4S Members.

On May 1st E4S launched a new membership program and membership rates, which had not changed since the launch of the program in 2003, increased. This rate increase reflects the added value that E4S now provides to the E4S Network:

• The E4S Sustainable B2B Directory - the only regional directory of companies that provide sustainable products and services to business. E4S members are given featured profiles in up to 3 business categories.
  
• The E4S Membership Newsletter - a bi-monthly e-mail newsletter that spotlights E4S members, highlights new and renewed member companies, and publicizes news and media stories about E4S members
  
• The new E4S Greater-Akron Network hub with monthly networking events
• Two new staff in 2008 to better help the E4S Network connect, learn and do sustainability

Individual/Searcher:

• You are an individual who is either 1) looking to start a business that will create a sustainable economy, 2) searching for a job with an employer who is practicing sustainability, or 3) a change agent within an existing company
• Membership extends only to you
• Your benefits include:
  
• E4S Network connections, E4S Learning Center events and workshops at reduced rates, a website designed to meet your needs and invitations to members-only events
  

Start-up:

• You are an entrepreneur in the start-up phase of your business (0-4 years)
• Membership benefits extend to you and your employees
• Your benefits include:
  • E4S network connections, E4S Learning Center events and workshops at reduced rates, and listing on the E4S members web page
    
  • Discounts on display tables at E4S Network Events.
  • Up to 3 listings in the E4S Sustainable B2B Directory (if your company provides a sustainable product or service to business)

Established Business, Non-profit or Government:

• You run a business or non-profit in the process of implementing sustainability principles in facilities, operations, products, markets and company culture
• Membership benefits extend to you and your employees
• Your benefits include:
