American Greetings Corp.`s Brooklyn headquarters has earned an Energy Star rating for superior energy efficiency and environmental protection from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Commercial buildings that earn an Energy Star use an average of 40 percent less energy than other buildings and release 35 percent less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
