Description:
- How are Northeast Ohio universities implementing sustainable business practices?
- What`s the role of universities in the regional sustainable economy?
- How many scholarships could be created if every university in the region saved 50% on their energy bill? What would it take?
Join the E4S Network in February to learn how Northeast Ohio universities are implementing sustainable business practices in their buildings, operations, research, and curriculum. From innovative energy efficiency projects, to green buildings, to cafeteria`s filled with local food, universities in the region are leading the way towards a sustainable economy. But what else might be possible if all 27 NEO universities - with over 200,000 students and an annual budget of nearly $3 billion - worked together to have an even greater impact? Join the dialog with our panel of sustainability experts from local universities as we explore the present and future of sustainability in higher education. Current panelists include: - Dr. Wendy Kellogg - Associate Dean, Levine College of Urban Affairs @ Cleveland State University
- Melanie Kintner-Knowles - Sustainability Manager, Facilities Planning and Operations @ Kent State University
- Dr. Sabina Thomas - Co-Director, Sustainability Program @ Baldwin-Wallace College
- Stephanie Strong-Corbett - Sustainability Manager @ Cuyahoga Community College
- Linda Robson - Adviser to Fowler Center for Sustainable Value - Weatherhead School of Management @ CWRU
