Reducing Demand

While "Next Generation Energy" considers both supply side and demand side technologies to meet our energy needs, reducing demand through energy efficient improvements is the best place to start. Insulating our building envelopes, installing energy efficient windows and redesigning our buildings, products and processes to conserve energy all lead to lower energy bills and a cleaner environment. How many negawatts (a unit of energy saved) can your business generate this year?

  • Northeast Ohio was recognized as the first region with a sustainable energy portfolio for buildings, manufacturing and transportation. See more of the E4S Vision.
  • Non-profit, government and academic resources are listed here. Find companies to help your business implement a energy efficiency project on the Energy Efficiency page of the E4S Sustainable B2B Directory.
