How has the nominee implemented sustainable business practices in his or her business or organization and what are the triple bottom line benefits (people, planet, prosperity) of the nominee`s work?
Linda has been the "face" of sustainability at CWRU. She has met with hundreds of students, staff, and faculty to promote sustainable practices. She has been the driving force behind the development of "green teams" at the residence hall, department and School levels, throughout the University. She has led the campus to sustainability through a broad range of activities. She has taught classes, co-developed an undergraduate summer sustainability research program, and participated in multiple trash audits in the development of our recycling program.

How has the nominee inspired you to implement sustainable business practices?
Linda has been a featured speaker and represented CWRU`s program in a variety of events at both the local and national levels.

How can someone else translate the success of the nominee? Is the work of the nominee an example or model that others can follow?
Linda`s passion and tireless commitment to both sustainability, and this institution, has inspired the campus population, from custodians to the senior administration, to adopt sustainable practices. As a result of her efforts, and leadership, President Snyder has signed the University Presidents Climate Commitment which commits the University to a plan to become climate neutral in the future. Right now the University is developing it`s "Climate Action Plan" which will result in the implementation of sustainable business practices through the institution.

How does the nominee actively participate in the sustainability community? How do they collaborate and share their knowledge with others?
Linda`s work is being recognized by people both within and outside of academia. She has provided insights and inspiration to private industry as well as sharing our program with other colleges and universities in the Northeast Ohio region.
