How has the nominee implemented sustainable business practices in his or her business or organization?
Cal contributed to sustainable transportation, riding his bicycle daily for years, commuting to work in downtown Cleveland from his home in Beachwood, helping to re-write Ohio transportation law regarding cycling through his work with ClevelandBikes and Ohio Bicycle Federation. What are the triple bottom line benefits (people, planet, prosperity) of the nominee`s work?
He led by example, riding and commuting daily for years and leading group bike to work rides with others. He re-wrote laws to help others and make society work better by changing the laws locally and statewide. He helped ClevelandBikes raise money for cyclnig activities. He personally reduced carbon output by riding to work daily for more than 20 years.

How has the nominee inspired you to implement sustainable business practices?
He loved riding. He loved the idea that he wasn`t driving and that he got his regular exercise. As a hard-working lawyer, he was advised after he had a heart attack to work exercise into his life and he did, for more than 25 years prior to his death. He had a rich, full life and loved riding.

How can someone else translate the success of the nominee? Is the work of the nominee an example or model that others can follow?
Anyone at any age can take up a bike and ride more. You don`t have to commute for 25 years, but even riding on the weekends helps improve the community.

How does the nominee actively participate in the sustainability community? How do they collaborate and share their knowledge with others?
He shared with everyone, one on one, and more broadly through his law reform. He worked at the state level and at local levels in Cleveland and individual suburbs.
